  • April 17-May 5 - ISTEP Part 2 (online) testing window; Language Arts testing begins the week of April 24th with 5th and 6th grade students on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 24-26, and 7th and 8th grade students Thursday and Friday, April 27-28.
  • Thursday, April 27- 7th/8th Grade Semi-Formal Dance, 4:30-6:00 pm. $5 must be paid by Thursday morning and students may not have any referrals in April or more than 3 throughout the year in order to attend.
  • Progress reports for the 5th grading period will be sent homewent home with students the week of April 24.
  • Our year-end Kings Island field trip is coming up. All students with no referrals this school year are eligible to go. Students with 1 referral can use their Bulldog Bucks to attend (1000 for 5th & 6th graders; 1200 for 7th & 8th graders). Forms and money ($35) are due by Friday, April 21.
  • Our updated tardy policy took affect on Monday, March 13. Please make an extra effort to be in class on time every day.

Volunteer Background Checks are required for any adult wanting to help at school functions, including chaperoning field trips, mentoring, and other events. Please complete this form and turn it into the office as it takes several weeks for processing. (Español)


Building Opens: 7:45 am
Breakfast Served: 7:45 am - 8:15 am
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:15 am - 3:30 pm
Tuesday (Early Release): 8:15 am - 2:49 pm
2-Hour Delay: 10:15 am - 3:30 pm
If Richmond Community Schools has a two-hour delay on a Tuesday, students will be dismissed at the regular time (3:30 pm).
Breakfast and Lunch are served free of charge to all Dennis students thanks to a federal grant.

     Arrival and Dismissal     
For the safety of our students, please drop off and pick up on the school side of the street so they do not have to cross traffic.
Students enter the south end of the building at the cafeteria entrance (Door #4) from 7:45 - 8:15 am. After 8:15, please enter the front of the building (Door #1).
Car riders & walkers are dismissed at 3:30 pm (2:49 Tuesday) through Door #1.
