Good Evening Families/Staff of Richmond Community Schools,
Under the guidance of our Emergency Management Agency (EMA), the decision has been made to close all schools corporation-wide for Wednesday, April 12, 2023.
There will be NO e-learning and all faculty and staff are encouraged to follow the shelter in place order instituted by our EMA. Faculty and staff are not required to work from home and are not permitted in to in their respective buildings.
We have already submitted an argument to our Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) to receive a school waiver day on account our our emergency at hand. We ill be notifying our community of the IDOE's decision and much more Wednesday afternoon.
We wish all first responders and the Richmond Fire Department the best as they address the emergency. Please stay safe Richmond.

Buenas noches familias/personal de las Escuelas Comunitarias de Richmond,
Bajo la guía de nuestra Agencia de Manejo de Emergencias (EMA), se tomó la decisión de cerrar todas las escuelas en toda la corporación para el miércoles 12 de abril de 2023.
NO habrá aprendizaje electrónico y se alienta a todos los profesores y al personal a seguir el orden de refugio en el lugar instituido por nuestra EMA. No se requiere que la facultad y el personal trabajen desde casa y no se les permite ingresar a sus respectivos edificios.
Ya hemos presentado un argumento a nuestro Departamento de Educación de Indiana (IDOE) para recibir un día de exención escolar debido a nuestra emergencia actual. Estaremos notificando a nuestra comunidad de la decisión del IDOE y mucho más el miércoles por la tarde.
